Thoughts on comments
1) Please do not post any personal information that does not belong to you in a comment. Someone posted my birth date in a comment recently, and I sincerely prefer to keep such things private on a blog that is publicly accessible. Unfortunately there is no way for me to edit the comment and remove my birth date, so I have deleted it. I apologize to the author and hope that they repost their comment without my birth date in it.
2) Please sign your comments. You are welcome to use initials or a nickname or your location or whatever you think of, but I like to know who is actually writing the comment. Some of the time I can figure it out, but often I can't.

If you didn't want anyone to know your birthday why did you bring t up in the first place. Also why did you say it was the next day on December 23 rd. Doesn't make sense.
Just a thought.
1) I don't mind people knowing the day (as in Jan. 26th), but posting the year adds more information than I'm comfortable with. Plus, I think there's a difference between talking about it in a way that someone reading my blog can do the math and figure out what my birthday is and posting the complete date for everyone to see.
2) The post was a re-post that I originally wrote last year just before my birthday. Both the title and the first line of the post indicate that, but I should have been clearer on this issue. I'll go back and edit it.
