India-a new blog

Various people have asked me for regular updates from India. Since some of these are work colleagues, and I don't really want to share my personal blog with everyone, I've created a new blog just for the India trip, J's India Trip. I will be posting all my India-related blogs there instead of here.

India: pre-trip briefing

I leave for India on Monday July 3rd and arrive around 9pm on the 4th. I'll be staying at the Oberoi Hotel in Delhi for a few days (the exact number of days is still unknown at this point in time), and then heading out to parts unknown somewhere else in India. (They won't tell us where we're going or what we're doing until we get there.) (I really doubt the hotels I'll be staying in outside of Delhi will be even close to as nice as the Oberoi. I plan to take advantge of the pool while I can!)

I will probably have some email access, although it might be intermittent, so if there aren't any blog posts or emails from me for a week or two, don't panic. I promise to take lots of pictures and keep a good journal so the stories will stay fresh.

The Frankenbike project is on hold for the moment, since I don't really have time to work on her before I leave. Thankfully, a friend of mine lent me a bike she wasn't using, so I do have transportation until I leave and after I get back (yes, we do have a car, but don't like to use it if we can avoid it.)

The next update will probably be from Delhi!
