oh northern lights

Well, it's official folks. D and I are moving to Alaska next year. I'll be working for CDC doing environmental health stuff related to toxic chemicals (actually I'll be working with ATSDR which is a part of CDC). It's a brand new position in a brand new office where my closest supervisor will be in Seattle. It'll be a lot of work to get things set up and moving, but a whole lot of autonomy too. Plus lots of very cool projects (toxin accumulation in subsistence foods for Alaska Natives, cleaning up abandoned defense sites, emergency response, climate change, etc. etc.)

D and I will be here (in salt lake) until the end of June, then we'll be moving north. Then it's back to Atlanta for a few weeks and Seattle for a month for training. It'll be a busy summer and we probably won't start getting settled in Anchorage until mid-August.

Everyone is welcome to visit, although I doubt many people will want to come up in the winter. :)
