The Simpsons on Alaska

For those who haven't seen "The Simpsons Movie"

Yup. That definitely sums up a good portion of the population.

Procrastinating at 1:42am

I was reading! And it wasn't even fanfic. It was an actual book. Not a very good one, mind you, but still a book. Bujold's more recent foray into romance fantasy...kind of fun (The Sharing Knife Vol. 1'). Face it. I'm a sucker for romance. But I do not read romance novels. I just want to make that clear.

Anyway, instead of going to bed I was looking at Bujold's website since this was a somewhat unusual book for her. And I found the following quote (from her Vorkosigan series"

"Endure pain, find joy, and make your own meaning, because the universe certainly isn't going to supply it. Always be a moving target. Live. Live. Live."

A good message I think. I received emails today from two different friends both announcing the birth of their daughters. Thus the 'thoughts on kids.'
